Therapeutic Massage, tui-na and shiatsu are a form of holistic bodywork. They are beneficial for helping many modern stress related ailments such as neck and shoulder tension, headache, muscular problems, sports injuries. They are also an excellent way to relax and maintain general well-being
Liong-Sen is a British and Chinese professionally trained complementary therapist. He trained in traditional acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, Chinese acupressure massage (tui-na), Chinese dietetics, shiatsu and therapeutic massage. He studied at the prestigious Beijing Traditional Chinese Medicine College Hospital in China. He is also a graduate of the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine (UK) where he now teaches post-graduate seminars. Liong-Sen is a member of the British Acupuncture Council (MBAcC) and the Shiatsu Society UK (M.R.S.S). He also holds diplomas from ITEC and MTI.
Liong-Sen has over 10 years experience in complementary therapies. Over the past few years he has received further specialised training (in China & UK) in musculo-skeletal disorders, gynaecological conditions, fertility treatment, emotional problems, facial revitalisation, as well as male health problems.
Liong-Sen also trained in both Chinese healthy and western professional cookery. He holds an honours diploma from the AHMA (USA) and a certificate from the City and Guilds (UK) specialising in Food and Beverage and professional cookery. Apart from teaching post-graduate seminars, he also runs practical Chinese healthy cooking classes as well as workshops in qi-gong, relaxation, meditation and stress management.
His treatment principles draw from his Chinese cultural heritage and also the broad experience of his unique training and knowledge derived from a combination of the Eastern traditional Chinese philosophy of health and the concepts of Western medical science. As well as the treatment, Liong-Sen also gives advice on diet, exercise and lifestyle – encouraging self-understanding, improved self-confidence and greater independence in health matters.
