Massage Therapy and Bodywork
Making a difference, one body at a time
All first-time visits require a detailed intake of the client’s issues. With that, an assessment is made as to what each client requires and just as important, what they realistically expect to achieve from their treatment. A treatment plan is devised and then put into action. Each treatment can use one specific technique or can utilize a combination of disciplines (including, but not limited to deep tissue massage, therapeutic massage, as well as myofascial and trigger point release techniques) to help improve specific issue(s). After each treatment, clients are given information to help them free their body from tightness and tension. In having this information, clients are armed with awareness as to how their muscles are behaving and become more educated as to how to use their muscles to their best advantage so that undue stress is no longer placed on the body. With this new knowledge clients can go forward and take the necessary steps to help them make their bodies the best that it can be.
For an exquisite experience and to reach muscle tissue at the deepest of levels, hot stone therapy is offered by appointment only.

What it is best for
This therapy and bodywork is designed for the purpose of helping to reduce localised muscular pain, relief from muscle tension and spasms, and/or for increasing circulation as well as relaxation and stress reduction. Problems associated with back, shoulder and neck pain, tight, shortened muscles and repetitive stress conditions can all benefit greatly from this form of therapy. Whether you are a labourer or a dancer, an office worker or a person who works at home, these techniques can help ease the discomfort of the stress that is placed on the body day after day after day. By easing stress, the body is allowed to relax and come back to a state of balance. And, if you are fortunate not to have any muscular discomfort, having a massage is an excellent way for you to give your body a wonderful “tune-up”.
